How do I apply to Job On, and how can I spot a fake job offer?

How applying works

Right now, Job On only hires people who live in Portugal. Job On does not handle visas.

• You send a message with your area, the city where you want to work and a contact
• We talk to you to confirm the position, the location and the documents you need
• You sign a written temporary work contract with Job On, which handles your onboarding and paperwork

Signs of a fake job offer

• You are asked for money: a registration fee, paid compulsory training, an accommodation deposit, transport or a visa
• The pay promised is far above normal for the role, with no explanation of the work
• There is no written contract, or you are told the contract comes after you start
• You are pushed to decide on the spot
• The company gives no temporary work agency licence number, or the number is not in the public IEFP register

What to do if you are unsure

Do not pay anything and do not send copies of your documents to anyone you cannot verify. Talk to us on the candidates' WhatsApp and tell us who contacted you. You can also check any temporary work agency's licence in the public IEFP register. Job On's licence is no. 1002/24.
